A Unique Camping Experience In Iceland – Remote Glacial Walk on Vatnahökull and Barbeque Night

Embrace Iceland’s many wonders and get to encounter one of its most unique features, the Vatnahökull Glacier. Get a chance to hike on this marvelous glacier in a remote outlet called Fláajökull. Yes, Glamping and glacier walking combined! Not only that, you get to sleep in a canvas tent with a very nice made-up bed. And to highlight the experience would be a Barbeque in the evening as you relax and lounge in the gathering tent. Definitely, something you don’t want to miss

This one-day and one-night camping and glacier walk will kick off at the Haukafell camping site. Upon arrival at the Haukafell camping site before 11:00, we will then guide you to your canvas tent which is 16m2 and has a capacity of up to 4 persons. After that, we will then gather and go over our plans for the next day’s glacier hike. The gathering tents would serve as our common lounge area where we will enjoy barbeque and night get-togethers.

Once everyone is equipped and ready, we will then trek from the campsite for about 4km heading towards the remote and splendid area the glacier has been forming, a small glacier lagoon, where Fláajökul glacier carves slowly into. And to level up this experience, we will then prepare for a glacier walk to a remote glacier that no other company has ever made a glacier walk into. Such a distinct and unique experience indeed. We will then assist you with safety gear and learn together to walk on the glacier. After that, we start to explore the Phenomenal and impressive glacier.

The hike is about 12 km elevation about 450 meters. After our adventure exploring the glacier, we will then head back to the camping site. As a team, everyone will then take part in preparing dinner to spend some relaxing and delightful time in the social tent. Surely, we will learn from each other better plus spend cheerful moments as a team.

Encounter nature at its purest! A superb experience awaits you! Check availability by choosing a date.
