WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS TOUR
Iceland´s South Coast with the Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Beach
TOUR DETAILS
Marvel into one of Iceland’s South Coast natural wonders, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. This stunning wonderland is 380 km (236.12 miles) from Reykjavik. In this day tour, marvelous and scenic spots are ready to fascinate you!
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & South Iceland
The glorious force of nature has sculpted one of the outlet glaciers from the Vatnajokull ice cap, Iceland’s largest and Europe’s most voluminous glacier, and formed Jokulsarlon and the Diamond Beach. The beach’s black-velvet-textured sand is picturesque in sight with the black basalt iceberg decorating it. Get to experience a breathtaking scene as the ice breaks away from the melting glacier and drifts through the lagoon and towards the ocean which creates a very unique landscape that is constantly moving and shifting. Such an incredible symbol of Iceland’s pure and ever-changing nature.
Our South Coast Iceland escapade levels up as we make time during the drive to visit well-selected places on the south coast including the stunning Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon, the hidden gem Stjórnarfoss waterfall, the mysterious Seljalandsfoss waterfall that you can walk behind and the charming Vík village with it’s black sand beach and majestic Reynisdrangar sea stacks.
The Glacier Lagoon Tour is not only our longest day tour but is also one of the most highly-rated day tours in Iceland. The 14-hour journey would certainly give you ample time to collect memories and make this tour unforgettable. Experience that is one for the books!
